WHAT IS DSM MEDIAWORKS?

DSM Mediaworks provides access to programmatic inventory on all screens and all media types: Desktop, Mobile and TV.  This includes Display, Rich Media, Native, Video, Programmatic TV and Programmatic Audio.  DSM Mediaworks has access to this inventory via a seat directly on the AppNexus exchange.


IS THE GDN (Google Display Network) THE SAME AS PROGRAMMATIC?

No.

GDN doesn’t provide detailed insights into the audience, however our Programmatic offering allows you to finely preselect your audience (you can tightly target the audience to whom the ads are served).

GDN does not support all ad formats (customization is not possible). Programmatic supports customization and a huge inventory to reach media units.

By using GDN you can only buy GDN inventory. With Programmatic you can buy GDN (AdX) inventory as well as other inventory that is available via the exchanges/AppNexus. We have nearly 99% coverage in the United States through our platform.

GDN bid adjustment has a lag of 2-3 hours, but Programmatic adjustment happens in real time which secures more premium inventory.


HOW IS THE INVENTORY PURCHASED?

Inventory is purchased on a RTB (real time bidding) basis, much like buying a stock on the stock market.  The more we want the site, the higher we bid with the highest bidder winning the inventory.


No. Programmatic is a term used to describe the method of buying, not the type of inventory.

Programmatic buying is building a specific audience, then algorithmically generating a custom site list which best targets that specific audience. 

It’s premium inventory, not remnant or leftovers.

IS PROGRAMMATIC REMNANT INVENTORY?


No. Within reason.
